Well-appreciated as one of the leading universities in Russia, Chechen state university was established in the year 1938 as a teacher training institute by autonomous soviet socialist republic. Later in the year 1994, it inaugurated the medical faculty and the agro-technological faculty. At present, the university has 13 faculties and 72 departments. In addition to this, it has 814 teachers (to be exact) which includes 236 candidates of sciences and 55 doctors. Also, it has its own historical museum, botanical garden, zoological museum, a catering plant, subscriptions, reading rooms and a library associated with 5 service departments. In fact, the educational system is organized using modern technologies.
